The Resound LiNX 3D hearing aids are the 3rd generation of the innovative LiNX hearing aid by Resound. But what makes the LiNX 3D the next best thing in Hearing Aid Technology?

Pros:
#1. Sound Quality – ReSound hearing aids tend to rank among the best when it comes to sound quality.

#2. Durability – At least in my clinic, Resound hearing aids end up in repair less than some other hearing aid brands we work with.

#3. iPhone connectivity with nearly every style of hearing aid – This is where the LiNX 3D really separates from the pack. You can have iPhone bluetooth technology with In-the-Ear devices not just Behind-the-ear hearing aids.

#4. Use any accessory in the Resound Line – You can use any accessory and trigger their use on your Resound Smart iPhone App.

#5. Resound Assist – You can now have adjustments made on your LiNX 3D hearing aids, by your Audiologist, without going into the clinic. This could revolutionize the future of hearing healthcare.

Cons:
#1. Asthetics – Even though the devices are nearly invisible, they don’t have the same sleek look as some other hearing aids.

#2. Resound Assist – It’s great to have access to remote changes of hearing aid programming, but making adjustments on a device when it isn’t clear what caused the need for changes. The only way to identify why a change in programming is needed is to have an audiologist identify the cause of the problem.

  1. Hey Dr. Cliff, I'm scheduled to get these hearing aids from the VA next week. Is there anything I should ask the Dr. when I get them? I already asked to have the REM done at the fitting which the Dr said she would do. I have an iPhone 7 and have downloaded the app so we can pair them when I have the fitting. Thanks for all the info you put out, it really helps people like me that have no clue as to how hearing aids work. Any suggestions will be a great help to me.

  2. What is the difference between the Resound Linx3D, Quattro, and the Vida?

  3. On average, how much are these hearing aids? I'm thinking of buying these hearing aids, but Im scared that a new resound technology is around the corner for early 2019, do you know if this is the case? And thanks for your excellent videos!

  4. How is the connectivity between the iPhone and the ReSound LiNX 3D achieved? Is it Bluetooth?

  5. I would be awesome if these hearing aids supports direct audio/music stream without the phone clip. I have the resound link 2.
But I'm happy to hear and manage the hearing aids with the app

  6. Doctor Cliff, I have watched many of your videos and am very impressed at your willingness to share your knowledge and experience, Thank You. I have reluctantly started the journey into hearing aids just last week before I watched your videos and the AuD that is working with me really likes resound but wanted to try me on the Signia IIC primax 7. I have had them in my ear now for 3 days and am really struggling. Sounds like chip bags being rolled up are insane loud while trying to watch TV is impossible with ANYTHING else going on in the room. My loss is in high frequency and crowded rooms and these aids seem to make it even worse. My AuD didn't even mention a REM? Should I be concerned about that? And lastly, do you have a colleague you can recommend up in Salt Lake or surrounding area that you know can do a REM and better suit my needs?

  7. Hi Dr. Cliff. I went to see an audiologist today about these hearing aids and I asked about REM. He told me that this is only really done in diagnostic situations in hospitals and that because of the current generation of high tech aids the automated calibration tools do a very good job of setting up the aid. Im in the UK and having spoken to a couple of audiologists it seems REM is not common practice here. What is your view on this?

  8. Hey doc, so my clinic says they only carry phonak and starkey, would it still be possible to get these hearing aids with them? Could they order them and would the care still be good? Also what hearing aids would you actually recommend if I plan on listening to music from my phone regularly in addition to having moderate hearing loss. Thanks!

  9. The Resound Linx 3D comes in 3 different versions. How do you determine which level of technology do you need?

  10. What’s the best hearing aid with masking sound for severe
tinnitus sufferers? Also which is better one behind your ear or put in your ear? And durability? Anyone please advise? Thnx

  11. I just got a basic pair yesterday. Meh there ok. I like my Oticon more!

  12. I have two resound Linx 3D hearing aids, both are for my right ear (one is my back up) I have paired the one to my iPhone and also to my TV Streamer without any problems and it is working great. My problem is, I can not pair my spare to either my iPhone or my TV Streamer. I followed the same directions that paired my first hearing aid but to no avail. I sure would like some help in this matter. Thank You

  13. Can you demonstrate or talk about the differences between a high powered, a medium powered and low powered hearing aides? I have the Linx 3d 62 RIC, received medium powered aides, but high power was ordered. Now a week later, exchanging for the correct higher powered aides.
Medium power was not loud enough, and gave lots of feedback or loud amp buzzing for anyone nearby me as I needed them turned up all the way… Hoping the high powered devices are much better, & I can use them on a lower volume setting.

  14. Hey Doc, thanks again for responding to my question a few days ago, but another quick question, last week I had flu and my right ear seems to be blocked, could this be because of the flu and if so is it permanent?

  15. One of clinic in Delhi suggest me about Resound ENZO .. how is it.. hearing loss in severe

  16. I have a huge vinyl record collection, I have the Linux 3D model, and a tv streamer, I would really like to buy a Bluetooth turntable, and be able to hear my music, via through my hearing aids, please answer as to how to, if this is even possible. Thanks

  17. I am in my 70s and have typical bilateral mild/moderate hearing loss at high frequencies. I have the Resound LiNX 3D lowest level (5) on trial, and they work pretty well. But I would like more clarity hearing people speak around me. Assuming my audiologist is doing the best adjusting possible, would I gain much clarity by upgrading to the next level (7) or the highest level (9)? For 2 hearing aids, I would be spending an extra $1500 for the highest model (9), but it would be worth it for better speech comprehension. The product literature says I would gain these features from an upgrade to 7: Binaural Directionality, Synchronized Soft Switching, Multiscope Adaptive Directionality, Environmental Optimizer Noise Tracker II. Going to the 9 would get me: Binaural Directionality III, Spatial Sense, Adjustable directional mix, Autoscope Adaptive Directionality, Binaural Environmental Optimizer II. My audiologist is not very familiar with Resound. How do I separate value from hype?

  18. Does the ReSound LiNX 3D Hearing Aid come in the IIC style? If so, does it require the clip to connect to Android devices and stream audio? Thanks so much for your videos. They are very informative.

  19. I had 4 sets of resound hearing aids and they all got sent back because none of them never worked, so i finally switched to phonak

  20. Is this the same model as the ReSound Forte that Costco sells?

  21. How much is this device cost and tell me where this device will get from me?

  22. How much is this device cost?

  23. Thanks for the great review. I have two questions. One, is the LiNX 3D the same as the Forte sold at Costco? Two, can I connect these hearing aids to any Bluetooth device without a secondary device? My TV and Mac both have Bluetooth that I can connect to using Bluetooth headphones and I want to replace my Bluetooth headphones with these hearing aids without having to buy another device.  Thanks for your help!

  24. Helo Dr Olson, I was wearing Resound BTE hearing aides that paired with my Apple devices. I Just received my CIC aides Lynx 3D -9. My understanding was that I could stream from phone to aide and have bluetooth capability. This does not seem to be the case. Can you advise, am I misinformed?

  25. I have been enjoying your reviews. But i was wanting to know if you have ever done a review on some called Sport Ear?

  26. Hi there!
I'm amazed with your channel – I whish there was like this in Poland 🙁
As for some of remarks you said:
Actually I think that ReSound hearing aids are quite cool and good looking. Compared to Phonak or Oticon they are way smaller and better looking. But such opinions depends from personal feelings – I wouldn't consider this as an issue. It's a matter of your personal feelings. 🙂
As for ear wax and HL changes – it's true you can't check it online. Yet, app ask you if you're experiencing any of this issues. You can see if there's wax on your receiver or not. When you mark "Yes" it won't let you send request but it will tell you to visit your HCP.
    Just to mention 😉

  27. Knowledge is power! Very impressive.

  28. ReSound LiNX 3D vs Oticon OPN1 thoughts? I have been testing the OPN1 for the past 3 days and for talking, meetings, TV it sounds great but music is just awful so is the app. Also, the right hearing aid keeps dropping blue tooth connection, kinda troubling considering its only 3 days old and 7400$ Canadian. For a music lover who used to be a recording engineer and someone who wants the best sound quilty and durability what do you recommend?

  29. Excellent video as always! These aids seem to tick nearly all the boxes. Cover a good range of hearing losses. Good feedback manager. Great streaming devices. Very flexible app. Shame rechargability & loop can't be in the same device like the Unitron equivalent but definitely great devices & love the ease of the new programmer.
