  1. I’ll have to order one for my iPhone 8 Plus, the quality speaks for its self. Is this strictly for video? Does it do anything for photos?

  2. Even the color looks spectacular. I think I will buy one!

  3. Thanks Blunty always  enjoy your reviews always calm ,humours and informative

  4. Oh geez… Just got mine and its just wonderful to play with!!

  5. Good review. Hoping Moondog will make a universal anamorphic lens for those of us who don't use iPhones.

  6. excellently explained and very accurate

  7. Oh man that anamorphic lens takes in SO much more light!

  8. This is a great video to show this how this lens work. Thanks dude! Keep it up

  9. As much as I'd love this, the fact that it's tied to a particular iPhone model is a complete deal-breaker for me.

  10. Would love to try this with a Dji Osmo

  11. I'm sooo getting this in the near future!

  12. This is something I would use every day. So many fantastic shots to get with it.

  13. Love the results, but 175 $ is too much for my pocket

  14. Wish I could afford this for my phone for my YouTube channel

  15. I'm in love, that would go perfect with my iPhone 6s

  16. Unfortunately Moondog Labs have the worst customer care in the world 🙁
They never ever respond. Great vid by the way 🙂

  17. Great video. This lens adapter looks solid. Thanks for posting the video.
Just to clarify on the resolution or pixels, the adapter cant change the physical realities of the camera sensor's number of pixel sites. The extra pixels you see in the finished movie comes from the extrapolation or stretching of the video image, you should actually see a slight blurring effect as the pixels in the finished video are no longer square, but wide rectangles (larger pixels, blurrier image).
That said, if you use no adapter, and crop top and bottom to mimic this adapter you will loose a substantial amount of pixels, using this lens you will preserve all pixels, and the end result will be higher resolution movie compared to a cropped no-adapter-shot video.

  18. Thanks for the great review! Very informative.

  19. Excellent review Blunty….

  24. i wish i didnt watch this, i want it 🙁

  25. I have been watching reviews on the movie "Tangerine" that was shot using this lens and am so impressed. I have always wanted to shoot a movie but budgetary constraints have been a problem. I think shooting on an Iphone with this adaptor and recording sound via a multi-channel mixer can make my dream a reality. Very stoked about this. Great review.

  26. I like the look but I hate the warping that happens on the side of sweeping shots

  27. god, that looks amazing, too bad's too expensive 🙁

  28. Heeeey! Now that's a tasty meatball! Thanks for the find. $175.00 isn't too much of a leap. Makes a great gift!

  29. Might have just found a reason to get myself an iPhone 6! This lens looks fantastic!

  30. QUESTION: I love taking pictures and have used my iPhone for thae last 4 years exclusively as my camera. I'm by no means a professional, but do LOVE to take a lot of photos. I don't do much video though. I take a lot of landscape, and architecture photos…
In your opinion, would this be a good investment? If not, do you have any suggestions?

  31. W00t, even taller iphone videos…

  32. Okay, this is fucking amazing, The new iPhone is supposed to have a re-designed camera so this paired with it will be mind bogglingly amazing.
